The interpreter, dressed as a Sesame Street character, was accused of racism for ignoring the two black girls, filing a lawsuit and threatening them.

A performer dressed as Rossita in Sesame Place, Pennsylvania appears to be welcoming children by giving them a high-five during a parade down the street. As Rosita approached, two young black women gave her a high five.

As the parade reaches the girl, the costumed character appears to chase the girl away before continuing the parade.

“This disgusting person rudely said no to our children and then hugged the white girl next to us!” Jody Brown, the girl’s mother and aunt, said on Instagram in a video post. “When I went to complain about it, they looked at me like I was crazy.”

Sesame Place Philadelphia tried to spread the word by posting on Instagram.

“Our brand, our park, and our employees support all forms of inclusion,” the theme park writes.

“Our artist costumes sometimes make it hard to look down, and sometimes our artists skip the request to hug guests.”

Brown announced that he had hired an attorney to help him investigate the case and consider the possibility of prosecution.

In an interview with TMZ, Brown said she had a hard time explaining to her daughter and niece what happened during the parade.

“They were excited to meet these characters. A simple high-five or wave would have been enough,” Brown said.

Brown’s attorney, B’Ivory Lamar, admitted that the liability test was too high for the client to prove discrimination, but “it showed the amount of evidence we received, as well as the amount of families that came to the case. The question is whether this type of behavior is a pattern of sesame theme parks.

“I think it’s clear that Sesame Place employees intentionally instigated this behavior,” Lamar said.
