Kyiv says the Kremlin is using “terrorism” to intimidate Ukrainians and force them into a humiliating peace deal.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine announced that at least 18 medical staff were killed and almost 900 medical facilities were damaged or were destroyed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which entered its sixth month today.
In a Facebook post, the health ministry said more than 50 medical staff had been injured by Russian attacks since February 24, when Moscow sent tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine in Europe’s biggest war since 1945.
The post also states that 123 medical facilities in Ukraine were completely destroyed since the invasion, while another 746 are in need of repairs.
Russia denies targeting civilians or health workers and says it is conducting a “special military operation” in Ukraine to fight nationalists.
