“We will increase jobs and lower taxes. We will plant a million new trees and increase all pensions to 1,000 euros per month,” underlined the former Italian prime minister.
“I will take part in the election campaign and my party, Forza Italia, will be a main pillar of the centre-right. We are the only real centrist force,” former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said in an interview with the Mediaset television group, owned by his family.

At the same time, he emphasized that his party “has always supported the Draghi government, but we must not forget that – in any case – this governing coalition would complete its work in March.”
Silvio Berlusconi stated that he believes that his party will have a leading role in the nomination of the new prime minister and underlined that “the center-left is anything but united, while everyone knows that its association with the Five Stars has ended”.
Asked about the three ministers of the Draghi government who decided to leave Forza Italia, the tycoon and politician replied: “They are definitely going to disappear. Their political careers are over.”
