The white…black from Akar: “Greece is plotting something against Turkey”

Regarding the purchase of F-16 fighter jets from the US, the Turkish Defense Minister said that Greece tried unsuccessfully to persuade the United States not to sell F-16s to Turkey and announced a technical-level meeting of Turkish and US delegations on 15 August.

Ankara is once again trying to do the black and white thing regarding Greek-Turkish relations, with the Minister of Defense, Hulusi Akar accuses Greece of “doing something” against Turkey, as reported by Anadolu on its official twitter account. He calls on Athens to act on the basis of “good neighborly relations”.

“Athens is plotting something against Ankara as it quintuples its defense budget”, he said characteristically, underlining however that “this will not be enough against the Turkish forces.”

The Turkish Defense Minister added that Turkey is not a threat to its allieswhile he emphasized that the issues between Turkey and Greece should not affect EU and NATO relations with Ankara.

In fact, Hulusi Akar “pointed the finger” at our country, calling on it to act according to the “good neighborly relations” for dialogue.

“Greece’s attitude is abnormal”he pointed out.
