Every month, the Sheet opens voting for readers to choose the best cartoon published in the period. In July, the illustrations addressed the coup speeches of President Jair Bolsonaro, the approval of the PEC dos Bilhões, which instituted a state of emergency and allowed the spending cap to be breached with electoral measures, the escalation of violence with the murder of PT and police operations in the Complexo from German.
Cartoons are published daily in both the print and digital editions and on the newspaper’s social networks. The initiative is part of the Charge of the Year – Readers’ Choice award, created in January. In early 2023, the 12 chosen will play in the final.
