Lady Death: Russia’s first female officer killed in the war with Ukraine

Lt. Col. Olga ‘Kursa’ Kachura commanded an artillery division deployed against Ukraine in the region.

The first female senior officer of Russia was killed amid heavy fighting in Ukraine as Vladimir Putin’s forces suffer a series of humiliating setbacks.

Lieutenant Colonel Olga ‘Kursa’ Kachura, 52, also known as Lady Death, killed instantly when a Ukrainian missile hit her car as she was driving in the city of Horlivka, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.

Olga was a mother of two children, and she has been awarded the posthumous honor of Hero of Russia. He commanded an artillery division deployed against Ukraine in the region.

He is the 97th officer killed in the war in Ukraine.
