One person was killed and two others were injured after gunmen opened fire in a Las Vegas hotel room Thursday night.
Lt. Dolly Coren of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said at a news conference that police received reports of a shooting at the Mirage Casino and Hotel around 8:30 p.m.
Authorities believe the suspect shot three victims during an altercation in a hotel room.
The hotel was closed shortly after the shooting. Photos and videos from the scene shared on social media showed a crowd occupying the hotel entrance.

Police arrived at the room about a minute after the 911 call was made, Koren said. As soon as they arrived, police and security personnel began providing medical assistance to the surviving victims, who were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
“At least I can tell you that there was an argument in the room between four people who supposedly knew each other. I fired,” Coren said.
“We take these types of incidents, the extreme violence that occurs in our city, very seriously,” Coren said.
The suspect was found, identified and arrested within six hours of the incident, Coren shared on Twitter early Friday.
The identity of the attacker has not been revealed.
Police said the shooting was an isolated incident and did not pose a threat to the public.
