Carnage in Montenegro: Unknown opened fire, at least 11 dead

One police officer was wounded in the head, but it is not yet known whether the assailant was killed in the massacre or committed suicide.

At least eleven people were killed today Friday when an unknown person opened fire in the city of Cetina, in the center of the country, the public broadcaster RTCG, the website In4s and the newspaper Vijesti reported.

“Eleven people were killed and six were injured, including one member of the police,” according to RTCG, which added that the attacker was included in that tally. A police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the number to AFP.

The website In4s claims that the perpetrator of the attack is 34-year-old resident Vucko Borilovic, who opened fire on several people around his house. According to unofficial information there was some family dispute.

The local media broadcast information about three seriously injured people who were taken to the hospital, as well as that the attacker for some time did not let the ambulances approach the injured.
