Three men were killed and a fourth was seriously injured when a speeding driver hit them in front of one of Chicago’s longest-running LGBTQ bars Sunday morning. A terrifying video shows the driver crashing into the victims on South Jeffery Boulevard in the South Shore neighborhood.

“A very unfortunate tragic incident occurred early this morning after closing time,” said a Sunday morning post on Jeffery Pub’s Facebook page. “A small group of people were on the road and an unknown vehicle drove by at a very high speed injuring several people and leaving some dead. Our hearts are heavy this morning that such a tragic event has occurred. And to those who have lost a loved one or friend, we stand by you.”

Video from the scene shows a group of people apparently fighting in the middle of Jeffery Avenue. A car speeds down the wrong side of the road and crashes into the crowd. The driver did not stop.
Chicago police confirmed three men were killed and a fourth injured in the car crash around 5 a.m. The accident is under investigation.
