Smart ways to save energy are becoming more known in Europe, commented Ms Von der Leyen

If the citizens of the European Union reduce their heating temperature by 1 degree in winter then the European Union will save about 7% in energy use for a year.

This is summarized by Ursula von der Leyen in her post on twitter, presenting part of the measures proposed by the Commission for EU member countries to respond to the difficult winter that is expected, given the conditions that have arisen with the war in Ukraine and the sanctions against of Russia.

Smart ways to save energy are becoming more widely known in Europe, Ms Von der Leyen commented, noting that slightly higher temperatures for air conditioning, for example, are changing the landscape of energy saving.

Ka von der Leyen commented that it is good that member states of the Union include such measures in their plans.

“Together we save energy for a safe winter,” he emphasized.
