Ukraine threatened today to demolish the Kerch Bridge, which Moscow built to connect Russia to the Crimean peninsula, where several explosions have occurred at Russian military bases in recent days.
“This bridge is illegal and Ukraine did not give permission for its construction. It threatens the ecology of the peninsula and must therefore be torn down. It doesn’t matter how: by authorship or not,” the adviser to the Ukrainian president, Mykhailo Podoliak, wrote on Telegram.

Podoliak’s veiled threat was formulated after the successive explosions that have taken place in Crimea. On Tuesday, Moscow spoke of “sabotage” at an ammunition depot at a military base near Dzhankoy, but did not identify those responsible. Last week, explosions took place at the Russian military airport in Saki, killing one person and injuring many others.
