Only in one hospital of the Afghan capital were treated 27 wounded, including a 7-year-old child.
Eyewitnesses told Reuters that the powerful explosion shattered the windows of neighboring buildings.
“The explosion occurred inside a mosque … There are casualties, but their number has not been clarified so far,” a police spokesman in Kabul told Reuters.
The imam was among those killed in the blast at the mosque, which was full of worshippers, a Taliban official said.
