The Turkish President also referred to the restoration of Turkish-Syrian relations, stating that with this step “many games will be broken, in the entire region”.

New statements about the Abdulhamid Khan drilling rig and also about Turkey’s relationship with Syria were made by Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

As SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis reports from Istanbul, the Turkish President, returning from his trip to Ukraine, said that thanks to Abdulhamid Khan, things will be very different when natural gas is discovered.

“One way or another, we will share with our nation the new once we get the expected results with the Abdulhamid Khan drill ship. Most of all, I hope things will be very different when we discover natural gas and our oil,” said Tayyip Erdogan.

He also talked about cooperation with Malaysia in other areas with Turkey’s Turkish drilling rigs, but without specifying where drilling will take place.

At the same time, the report on the restoration of his relationship with the Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad, whom he once called a dictator and fought against, causes a sensation.

“We must secure further steps with Syria. By taking these steps, I hope we will break many games, in the whole region, in this region of the Islamic world, with our neighbors”, were the words of the Turkish President
