It is not clear how many soldiers fell ill or what their condition is today.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense today accused the Ukraine that in late July he poisoned Russian soldiers in Moscow-controlled territory Zaporizhia.

An adviser to Ukraine’s interior ministry responded to the accusation by saying the poisoning may have been caused by Russian soldiers eating expired canned meat.

According to the Russian ministry, some soldiers were taken to a military hospital with symptoms of severe poisoning on July 31. From the tests they underwent, a toxic substance, botulinum toxin type B, was found in their bodies.

For the chemical terrorism approved by the Zelensky regime (a.k.a. the president of Ukraine), Russia prepares the evidence with the results of all analyzes“, the ministry added.

It is not clear how many soldiers fell ill or what their condition is today. The ministry did not say what the “evidence” it is citing is.

THE botulinum toxin type B is a neurotoxin that can cause botulism if someone eats contaminated food. But it also has a medicinal use.

Ukraine’s defense ministry did not respond to a Reuters request for comment on the allegations. Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashenko, however, commented on the Russian accusations in a Telegram post.

The (Russian Defense) ministry did not specify whether the poisoning could have been caused by expired canned meats, in which botulism toxin is often found. Occupying forces have been protesting en masse over expired rations since the first days of the invasion of Ukraine“, He wrote.

THE Moscow is conducting another investigation at the same time, about an incident in which Volodymyr Saldo, the Russian-appointed governor of the occupied Kherson, fell ill. Saldo, a former mayor of the city of Kherson, who was appointed head of the province of the same name when the Russians occupied it in early March, fell ill in early August.
