“We have nothing to do with this, because we are not a criminal state like Russia,” says Zelensky’s adviser. Zakharova is speaking of “terrorism” if a link between Kiev and the incident is found

The Russian Investigative Committee announced that it has opened a homicide investigation into the death of his daughter Alexander Dugin a close ally of the Russian president Vladimir Putin .

THE Daria Duginadaughter of the ultranationalist philosopher known as “Putin’s mastermind,” was killed when an explosive device planted in the Toyota Land Cruiser she was driving detonated, according to a Russian investigative commission.

As Russian news outlet 112 reported, Dugina and her father were due to return to Moscow in the same car. But Dugin, believed to be the real target of the attack, decided at the last minute to travel separately.

Video, the authenticity of which has not been confirmed and posted on Telegram, shows Dugin watching in shock as rescue crews arrive at the scene of the burning car.

Alexander Dugin has for years been in favor of the union with Russia of the Russian-speaking regions, with the aim of creating a new Russian empire. Ukraine will also be included in it.

30-year-old Daria Dugina, a journalist, had also come out in favor of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In an interview in May, she called the war a “clash of civilizations” and said she was proud that both she and her father were targeted by Western sanctions.

Earlier this year, US and British authorities sanctioned Daria Dugina for spreading “disinformation” about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Notygin has been a target of US sanctions since 2015 for his alleged involvement in Russia’s annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea.

Dugin’s influence on Putin has been the subject of speculation, with some analysts estimating it to be great and others calling it negligible.

“I emphasize that Ukraine, of course, has nothing to do with this, because we are not a criminal state, like the Russian Federation, and even less a terrorist state,” said Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the same time, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, stated in a post on Telegram that if any connection of Ukraine to the incident is found, it would amount to “state terrorism”.
