You know Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, but many of the royal residences are owned by the royal family.

With multiple rooms, pools, and even a movie theater, Royals has features many of us could only dream of.

Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge announce their move to Adelaide Cottage, while Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi raise the bar and move to a farm in the Cotswolds.

But where do the royals live and where do they have vacation homes? Here’s everything you need to know about royal pillows…

Queen Elizabeth II

For most of Her Majesty’s long reign, she lived at Buckingham Palace in central London.

However, since March 2020, the Queen’s main residence has been the 950-year-old Windsor Castle, where she and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh have retreated during the coronavirus pandemic.

They will remain there until Prince Philip’s death in April 2021.

Windsor Castle will reportedly remain the Queen’s residence for the time being.

If the Queen wants to leave Windsor, there are plenty of luxury properties to choose from.

In England, the royal family often spends Christmas at the privately owned Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

In Scotland, her official residence is the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, and the Queen and her family spend their summers at Balmoral Castle.

His official residence in Northern Ireland is Hillsborough Castle in County Down.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge said goodbye to London and greeted Windsor, and the couple returned home to their three children.

The family previously lived on Floor 1A of Kensington Palace in London.

The Cambridges’ new home, Adelaide Cottage, is in Windsor, Berkshire.

The cottage was built in 1831 as a summer retreat for Queen Adelaide, wife of William IV, who reigned from 1830 to 1837.

Located in the grounds of Windsor House, it is believed to be only half a mile (800 m) from Windsor Castle.

Several members of the royal family have lived in and visited the cottage, including Simon, son of the Queen’s cousin Margaret Rose, who lived there until 2016.

The family also has a house in Anmer Hall, Norfolk.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have resigned from their royal duties and left the UK in early 2020.

They currently reside in the Montecito neighborhood of Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, California.

The couple, along with their children Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibeth Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, live in an £11million home with a large outdoor pool, tennis courts, a teahouse and a children’s cottage.

The house reportedly has 9 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms and has a huge 7.38-acre garden.

The house also has a library, office, spa with sauna, gym, games room, games room, cinema and wine cellar.

Before moving, the couple lived at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles

Since 2003, Clarence House has been the official residence of the Prince of Wales.

Since they married in 2005, Charles, Duchess of Cornwall, and Camilla Parker-Bowles have spent most of their time at Clarence House, the late queen’s residence, built in 1825, and until her death in 2002.

Charles also owns Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, which he bought with Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1980.

He still spends time there with Camilla and their children.

When in Wales, Prince Charles often stays in Llwynywermod, which belongs to the Duchy of Cornwall.

The queen’s son, Prince Andrew, has lived at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park since 2004.

Living with ex-husband in a class II building Sarah Ferguson After inheriting the house of the late Queen.

The hostel is located just 5 miles from Windsor Castle.

It dates from the 17th century and was used by various royal officials until the 1930s.

It was the private residence of the Queen Mother for over 70 years, until she died in the hostel with the Queen in 2002.

Prince Edward and Sophia, Countess of Wessex

Since their marriage in 1999, Prince Edward and Sophia, Countess of Wessex have lived just a 20-minute drive from the Queen in Bagshot Park, Surrey.

The couple live with their two children, James Bycount Severn and Lady Louise, in a house 11 miles from Windsor Castle in Windsor Great Park.

A Grade II listed building, it has been a royal residence for over 200 years, and the main building was originally a series of small cottages designed for King Charles I.

The original house was demolished in 1877 and rebuilt in 1879 with some 120 rooms.

Bagshoti Park was also used as a hospital for the Auxiliary Territorial Service during the war.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who previously lived at Frogmore Cottage, have reportedly moved to a new paddock.

The couple currently reside at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace with their son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

The cottage has been home to Prince Harry since 2013, and Meghan moved into the house when the couple announced their engagement in 2017.

The house was designed by Christopher Wren and was previously the home of Prince Harry, Duke of Gloucester and his wife, Princess Alice.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Motte

Princess Beatrice, her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and their daughter Siena currently live at St James’s Palace.

However, the family will be moving to the Cotswolds this year to build a new £3.5m home.

The farmhouse has 6 rooms and an annex building converted into a guest house.

It is also known for its swimming pool and tennis courts.

According to MailOnline, the property is close to Blenheim Palace, a World Heritage Site.

Princess Anne and Timothy Lawrence

Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Lawrence, live in Gatcombe Park with their two children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips.

Located in Gloucestershire, the Queen bought it as a wedding present when Anne married her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, in 1976.

The Grade II listed building has nine rooms, four drawing rooms, a library, a billiards room and a conservatory.

Built at the end of the 18th century, it was designed by Giorgi Basevi.
