Telosa, as an architectural city design, is one of nearly a dozen proposals around the world that aim to build sustainable and ultra-modern cities from scratch and look more like science fiction than reality.
What does the city of tomorrow look like? For billionaire Marc Lore, it’s eco-friendly with buildings built with ecology in mind and spread across about 150,000 acres in the desert southwest.
Lore, 51, recently released details of the ‘Telosa’ metropolis he has designed – Telosa is a name derived from the Greek word telos and describes the concept of purpose since in ancient Greek philosophy an end is defined as intended goal of an act.
Telosa, as an architectural city design, is one of nearly a dozen proposals around the world that aim to build sustainable and ultra-modern cities from scratch and look more like science fiction than reality.
For Lore, Telosa will include 36 suburbs in an area of Nevada, Arizona, or Utah.
It will be home to 50,000 “different” people by 2030. Everything citizens need will be within walking distance — however, if vehicles are needed they will be electric and autonomous — and every building will be eco-friendly with panels to create renewable energy on its roof.
