An unruly retiree snatches a gin and tonic from a flight attendant and punches the steward before being dragged off the plane.
One woman, believed to be in her 70s, was escorted away by police to applause as other passengers shouted: “Vida da hen pet!”
Due to the alleged attack, a Jet2 flight scheduled to fly from Manchester to Rhodes on Monday had to be diverted to Munich, Germany.
This video, shared on MailOnline, shows nine German police officers removing a woman from a plane.
It is claimed that he was already upset on the flight after his request for complimentary champagne was refused.
Even though he supposedly hit the steward, the pensioner is dragged to the back of the plane and looks sad and says “help me”.
A police officer was seen grabbing the woman’s legs while the rest of the officers let her out of the plane first.
After she was escorted off the plane, several police officers grabbed her arms and legs and dragged her out of sight.
Video footage captured early in the flight shows the retiree punching a flight attendant.
An air attendant is seen bending over her, trying to calm her down.
A passenger, who requested anonymity, claims the woman urinated on her seat before she was detained by police.
“The woman on the flight repeatedly asked the flight attendants for complimentary champagne,” they said.
The stewardess told the woman that she was not part of the service and ended up buying her a gin and tonic.
He started cursing and having violent outbursts. At one point she got up and tried to open the cabin door during the flight.
Passenger added:
“He urinated on three flights and repeated violent episodes until we had to make an emergency landing in Munich.”
A passenger who had to wait for more than two hours in Germany added: “Jet2 handled the situation very well and the captain served everyone a drink.”
A Jet2 spokesperson added:
“We apologize to our customers for this unexpected delay and inconvenience.
“The health and safety of our employees and customers is our number one priority and as a family airline we take a ruthless approach to disruptive behaviour.
“We will not hesitate to vigorously pursue the costs incurred as a result of this diversion.
