Protesters call for a switch to plant-based food production (Image: Animal Rebellion)

Animal Rebellion activists took over the dairy aisles of luxury supermarkets across the country.

Protesters calling for a switch to a completely plant-based diet claim the government is turning a blind eye to “climate, environmental and moral crises”.

They put up signs reading “Plant-Based Future” and “Give us back our land” in an attempt to prevent shoppers from buying milk.

Animal Rebellion members spent an hour at Whole Foods in London and Marks & Spencer stores in Southampton, Birmingham and Manchester.

This is breaking news. Details will be announced later.
