While searching President Donald Trump’s home in Florida, the FBI discovered documents detailing foreign governments’ military defenses, including their nuclear weapons capabilities.

The Washington Post, citing people familiar with the raids last month, did not name the government discussed in the document or indicate whether it was friendly or hostile to the United States.

Some 11,000 documents and 1,800 other items were seized from the former president’s Mar-a-Lago estate. About 100 cases contained classified information, according to court records.

Some say US covert operations are so closely watched that even Joe Biden’s top national security officials are barred from discussing them, The Post reported.

Newspapers report that only the president and selected members of his cabinet may have the right to reveal them.

Records related to these special access programs are generally kept under lock and key, with marshals assigned to closely monitor their whereabouts.

On Monday, a federal judge granted Trump’s request to appoint a special master to review records seized during an FBI investigation.

The order will almost certainly delay an investigation into the existence of classified information at Mar-a-Lago, especially in light of a judge’s order that the Justice Department cannot use seized materials as part of its investigation into this moment. on Florida property.

It will remain that way until an anonymous special master completes his work, or “obeys a court order.”

However, it is not clear if this decision will delay the progress of the investigation in the long term or if it will have a material impact on the investigation decisions or the final result of the investigation.

A separate assessment of the risks of apparent mishandling of classified records by US intelligence agencies also continues under a judge’s order.

The Justice Department and Trump’s lawyers have until Friday to submit a list of proposed special master candidates.
