Alert in Canada for man armed with knife – Suspect in attacks on aboriginal communities

Police in Canada’s Saskatchewan province have raised the alarm over a knife-wielding man seen in a stolen car who is suspected of Sunday’s deadly attacks on aboriginal communities.

Authorities asked residents of the Waco community to avoid commuting and to stay away from people behaving suspiciously until the police operation to locate the gunman is complete.

One of the two perpetrators of the deadly attacks was found dead in the community of James Smith Cree Nason, while his brother is being sought.

According to the official count, 10 people were killed and 18 others injured, some seriously, in two remote aboriginal communities in Saskatchewan province.
