“Everybody wants me to be a candidate. I’m leading in the polls,” Trump said
Former US President Donald Trump has hinted again that he might run for president in 2024, saying it would “make a lot of people happy” in an interview with an Indian television network set to air today.
“Everybody wants me to be a candidate. I’m leading in the polls,” Trump said, according to an excerpt of the interview that Indian television station NDTV is set to broadcast in its entirety later today.
“In all the polls, in the Republican polls and in the Democratic polls,” the Republican emphasized.
“I’ll make a decision in the very near future, I guess. And I think many will be very happy,” he continued.
The 76-year-old billionaire former reality TV star again dismissed in this interview the results of the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to incumbent Democrat Joe Biden, claiming it was rigged.
“There is overwhelming evidence, there is overwhelming evidence,” he claimed.
