Monarchs traditionally reside at Buckingham Palace, with residences at Windsor Castle, Balmoral and elsewhere.

For 70 years, these mansions have been associated with Queen Elizabeth II, who died at the age of 96.

His Majesty’s official residences as Prince of Wales are Clarence House, London and Highgrove, Gloucestershire, where His Majesty and Queen Camilla have lived since their wedding in 2005.

But where do the King and Queen now live?

This is what we know (so far).

Where do Prince Charles and Lady Camilla live?

It has not yet been officially confirmed where Prince Charles will live.

However, according to tradition, the King was said to live in Buckingham Palace.

The palace is currently undergoing major renovation. This may have played a role in the Queen’s move to Windsor Castle with her husband, Prince Philip, later in her life.

The work is due to be completed in 2027, and the expensive renovation could be due in part to plans to open the palace to more people.

A friend of the King previously told the Mail on Sunday: Downing Street Prime Minister.”

It has also been reported that Her Majesty the Queen does not live at Windsor Castle.

Both properties belong to the Crown Estate and are not the private property of the King.

Previous speculation had suggested that the King wanted to stay at Clarence House, or his loving family’s home in Highgrove, which he bought with Princess Diana in 1980.

However, the Duchy of Cornwall owns Highgrove. He is now succeeded by Prince William as Duke of Cornwall and Cambridge, and possibly soon as Prince of Wales.

But Prince William and Catherine, the new Prince and Princess of Wales, have just moved into Adelaide Cottage in Windsor and have no plans to move to Highgrove.

As Prince of Wales, Charles often stayed at the house of Luwini Vermod in Wales, but it also belongs to the Duchy of Cornwall and remains the property of Prince William.

Other properties attributed to King Charles: Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. All these properties were the private property of the Queen.

The King owns Burkehall, a private estate in Balmoral that was once owned by the Queen Mother.
