A federal judge has dismissed former President Donald Trump’s extortion lawsuit against his 2016 presidential rival, Hillary Clinton, and other political opponents.

In a 65-page ruling released Thursday, Judge Donald Middlebrooks said Trump’s case lacked substance and legal backing, replacing it with extension, exaggeration, settlement and settlement of grievances.

Earlier this year, Trump accused 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Clinton, former FBI Director James Comey and Democratic National Committee member Adam Schiff of collusion in a “Russia hoax.” Trump called the investigation into the presidential campaign’s ties to Russia “absurd.”

The lawsuit, filed five years after Trump defeated Clinton in the election, names more than 20 people and entities.

A judge for the Southern District of Florida wrote that Trump “is about to unleash a 200-page political manifesto detailing his grievances against those who oppose him, and this court is not the proper forum.”

Middlebrooks also noted “the audacity of appellants’ legal theories and the way in which they appear to contradict binding case law.”

Trump’s lawsuit, filed in March, states that “the defendants were blinded by their political ambitions and organized a malicious conspiracy to spread patently false and damaging information about Donald Trump and his campaign. They wanted to falsify his life, his political career and his campaign.” Hillary Clinton wins the 2016 presidential election.

According to NBC News, Trump’s attorney, Alina Huba, said she “strongly disagrees” with the judge’s decision.

Haba said the decision “is riddled with misuse of the law” and that he “will immediately appeal this decision.”

Clinton asked a judge to suspend the case in April.

“As useful as a plaintiff’s complaint may have been as a fundraising tool, press release or list of political grievances, it lacks legitimacy and should be dismissed with prejudice.
