In 1994, Jennifer Wayne and Elon Musk were fellow students at the University of Pennsylvania, roommates and a couple. They were just Jenny and Elon, a typical carefree American college student couple in love.
Now, 32 years later, Musk is the richest man on the planet, and Jennifer is auctioning off their photos from that time to help pay for her grandson’s college tuition.

In their photos, Musk is a playful, affectionate, serious and tech-savvy 23-year-old. According to Jennifer, the young Musk had a sense of humor, was tender in their relationship but did not show it publicly, was very dedicated to his studies, ambitious and idealistic.
“He liked having someone by his side to support him. Ever since when he talked about cars you could tell he had something big in mind…” stated Boo Boo, as Musk affectionately called her.
Jennifer is also auctioning off some memorabilia, including a gold locket and a birthday card. The relationship ended when Musk left and moved to Palo Alto, California. She was very much in love and visited him a few times but he considered the long distance relationship a “waste of time” and decided to break up.
