The operation of Kharkiv’s two main power lines has been restored, Ukrenergo announced

Ukraine has fully controlled more than 4,000 square kilometers of its territory recaptured from Russian forces and is consolidating its control over another 4,000 square kilometers, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a speech on Tuesday.

Yesterday, Monday, the Ukrainian president had stated that Ukraine recaptured 6,000 square kilometers from the Russians during the recent counterattack by its forces. Ukrainian officials say, however, that it is important to distinguish between recapturing territory and ensuring that it is completely safe.

At the same time, the energy company Ukrenergo announced that repair crews restored the operation of two main electricity supply lines in Kharkiv and the surrounding area of this city in eastern Ukraine, after power outages caused by Russian shelling.

Ukrenergo adds in a statement it issued that restoration work will continue on other lines, without elaborating further.
