The French president Emmanuel Macron will attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, in London, and spoke yesterday Wednesday by phone with King Charles III‘ to express his condolences on the death of his mother, the French presidency announced.
“The head of state expressed his sincere condolences to the king and his support. He expressed to him the grief of the French and the French for the new death of Queen Elizabeth II”, while adding that “their thoughts are with the British people”, the Elysee Palace pointed out.
“The president of the Republic wished every success to the king and expressed his willingness to continue the work they have carried out together in recent years to address common challenges, starting with the protection of the climate and the planet,” added the French presidency.
