The Duke of Sussex felt “devastated and desperate”, to the point where he even considered “putting on a morning suit to avoid embarrassment”.

Although it was initially banned in prince harry to wear military uniform at funeral processions and vigils in honor of his grandmother, however, by King Charles’s decision (or the late Queen’s wish, having previously approved all her funeral proceedings) he was allowed to wear the uniform of in vigil of Saturday, where they took part grandchildren of Elizabeth.

Elizabeth’s 8 grandchildren stood next to the coffin in the Palace of Westminster, forming a guard of honor, their heads bowed and sadness painted on their faces.

Harry however was visibly overwhelmed and upset for an equally serious and embarrassing reason. His grandmother’s initials ER (Elizabeth Regina, Queen Elizabeth) had been ripped from the shoulder of his uniform.

According to the newspaper “The Sunday Times”, the Duke of Sussex felt “devastated and desperate”, to the point that he even considered “putting on a morning suit, in order to avoid embarrassment”.

The initials ‘ER’ are only worn by those ‘in the service’ of the monarch and Harry, after Megxit, renounced his royal duties.

However, Prince Andrew, who is also no longer royal and also wore a suit in the funeral procession, was allowed to wear both the vice-admiral’s uniform and the Queen’s insignia during the vigil for Elizabeth’s children on Friday night.

This fact upset Harry even more, according to a friendly source of the prince cited by the newspaper, adding that there may be some purpose behind this move.
