The Kremlin’s statements about the possible use of nuclear weapons are “absolutely unacceptable” and Kyiv will not be intimidated by them, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said early today.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and other officials, including Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, have referred to the option of using nuclear weapons in extremis.
“Putin and Lavrov’s irresponsible statements about the possible use of nuclear weapons are absolutely unacceptable,” Mr Kuleba said via Twitter. “Ukraine will not back down.
