The Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez announced today that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and has temporarily postponed his scheduled engagements, just days after attending the UN General Assembly in New York.
“This morning I tested positive for Covid-19,” he wrote on Twitter, clarifying that he will not participate in the “Rose Festival” of the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC) to be held today in Gava, near Barcelona.
Esta mañana he dado positivo en #Covid19. No podré estar hoy junto a @salvadorilla y todos los compañeros y compañeras de @socialistes_cat en Gavà . Feliz #FestaDeLaRosa.
I will continue working with extreme precautions.
