The tragic account of the carnage that occurred on Monday morning at a school in the city of Izhevsk in Russia when 34-year-old Artem Kazantsev opened fire has been raised. Specifically, the dead now amount to 15, among them 11 children.

According to the information that has become public about the identity of the perpetrator, 34-year-old Artem Kazantsev was a former inmate of a mental hospital, a neo-Nazi and a fan of the Columbine high school massacre in 1999. In fact, he was also a graduate of that school in the city of Izhevsk.

Russia’s Investigative Committee, which investigates serious crimes, said the gunman was wearing a balaclava. According to information, the perpetrator had been recruited.
