A female officer at a unit assembly base informs the soldiers that on the Ukrainian front they will be on their own: “Guys, take care of yourselves.”
A female soldier at a training base in Russia’s Altai region greets young conscripts and instructs them on what to expect on the Ukrainian front and what to take with them.
The woman informs them that the army is not going to give them anything but ammunition – not even blankets to sleep on and tells them characteristically: “Children, take care of yourselves.”
The officer asks the soldiers to buy everything from sleeping bags and diarrhea medicine to tourniquets for broken bones – she even advises them to take first aid kits from cars and get gauze, tourniquets and whatever else they need from there.
Finally, the woman advises enlisted men to ask “their mothers, sisters and girlfriends” to buy them the “cheapest sanitary napkins” and “cheapest tampons.”
“Don’t laugh guys. Sanitary napkins will serve as pad pads and tampons to stop bleeding from bullet wounds.
A military unit representative in Altai region said that they have nothing except ammunition and asked conscripts to buy everything including medicines and tourniquets.
She also advised to buy women’s pads to use for shoes and buy tampons to stop bleeding after bullet wounds. pic.twitter.com/JEAxSNOLer
