Cavusoglu’s new threats: We will send more troops to Cyprus

“Even if (the whole) world stands against us, we will continue to protect our rights in Cyprus, the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean”, explained the Turkish Foreign Minister

Ankara’s response to the lifting of the US arms embargo on Cyprus will be to send additional troops to the island, threatened today Mevlut Cavusoglu.

According to what the SKAI correspondent broadcasts from Istanbul Manolis Kostidis the Turkish Foreign Minister characteristically stated that “we (Turkey) will send more forces there (to Cyprus) to protect the Turkish Cypriots. And whatever is needed as a weapon, we will give it to them.”

He went on to say that Turkey will use all the capabilities of diplomacy to protect its rights and interests even if the whole world stands against it: “Even if the (whole) world stands against us, we will continue to we protect our rights in Cyprus, the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean,” said Mevlut Cavusoglu.

His statements in detail:

“Even if (the whole) world stands against us, we will continue to protect our rights in Cyprus, the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean. And we are determined about it. The US lifts the arms embargo against the Greek Cypriot side. What happened he says? “He cooperated in money laundering.” I mean, the E/K side is a famous place for money laundering, you know. So this was for reward. “Okay,” I said to Blinken. “Have you nothing to give but weapons? Give money. They like it. They need them. Why are you giving out guns? Against whom will you give these weapons?’ What do we do now? They made a decision. If they want, they buy, if not, they don’t. We too will send more forces there to protect the Turkish Cypriots. And whatever weapons are needed, we will give them. And we use all the capabilities of diplomacy to protect our rights and interests. We are strong on the field and at the table. Sometimes the table collapses (ends), we go down to the field. We do whatever is needed in the field. After that we say to everyone, “There you go. Come back to the table.” And then we handle the game this time. (we become the *playmaker* of the game)”
