Ms. Bakaloni replaces Mr. Paraskevas Adamis, who was a national member from 2017 to 2022. She has extensive experience in international judicial cooperation and, among other things, has served as vice-president of the Hellenic Prosecutors’ Association.
This week, Ms. Amalia Bakaloni began her five-year term as Eurojust’s new national member for Greece.
Ms. Bakaloni replaces Mr. Paraskevas Adamis, who was a national member from 2017 to 2022. She has extensive experience in international judicial cooperation and, among other things, has served as vice-president of the Hellenic Prosecutors’ Association.
Mrs. Bakaloni said: “It is a great honor for me to be appointed as a new national member of Greece. I look forward to working with my new colleagues to fight complex cross-border crime to make Europe safer for EU citizens.”
Ms. Bakaloni studied Law at the University of Athens and in 2007 received a Master’s degree in criminal law, criminology and European criminal law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In total, he has 23 years of experience as a prosecutor and has dealt with all types of serious crimes.
