“We all have to face the energy issue together,” Meloni told reporters, leaving her party’s offices.
The president of Italy’s Adelfia party, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, during which they discussed, among other things, the new measures adopted by Germany to deal with the energy crisis, as reported by the Italian media.
“We all have to face the energy issue together,” Meloni told reporters, leaving her party’s offices.
At the same time, in her statement, the winner of last Sunday’s Italian elections emphasized: “The historic challenge of the energy crisis requires an immediate response at the European level, with the aim of protecting families and businesses.
No member country – without a common strategy – can offer, alone, effective long-term solutions.
Not even those who seem to be less vulnerable from a financial point of view. For this reason, I hope that at tomorrow’s European summit on energy, logic and immediate treatment of the problem will prevail. Regarding this vital issue for Italy, I wish there will be a common stance of all political forces.”
