“To end this, you have to stop the man in Russia who wants war more than life,” Mr. Zelensky said during his daily evening taped speech.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday urged Russians to revolt against his counterpart Vladimir Putin to end the war.

“To end this, you have to stop the man in Russia who wants war more than life,” Mr. Zelensky said during his daily evening taped speech.

In another video, Mr. Zelensky specifically addressed the residents of the multinational Caucasus region.

Many members of ethnic minorities are reportedly being sent to Ukrainian war zones.

The Ukrainian head of state accused Russian troops of killings, torture, rape and destruction. “This can be stopped,” but the Russian people “must stand up and fight.” He also praised what he called resistance to the partial mobilization of 300,000 reservists announced by the Kremlin.

Mr. Zelensky also claimed that 58,000 Russians have been killed in the war in Ukraine.

This number is not confirmed by Moscow and is impossible to independently verify.

The Ukrainian president estimated that many Russian soldiers will be sent to the battlefields without insignia or documents and urged those who are recruited to get tattoos with their names so that the fallen can be handed over to their families.
