US President Joe Biden earlier condemned the Russian missile strikes, underlining that they demonstrate the “absolute brutality” of the attack launched by Kremlin strongman Vladimir Putin against the Ukrainian people.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday night that he had a “constructive conversation” with his US counterpart Joe Biden in the wake of Russian missile attacks on several Ukrainian cities.

“The dominant issue in the conversation was anti-aircraft defense. Currently, this is the highest priority in our defense cooperation,” the Ukrainian president said in a Telegram post.

US President Joe Biden earlier condemned the Russian missile strikes, underlining that they demonstrate the “absolute brutality” of the attack launched by Kremlin strongman Vladimir Putin against the Ukrainian people.

“The United States strongly condemns today’s Russian missile attacks across Ukraine, including those in Kyiv. These attacks killed and injured civilians, while destroying civilian targets. The utter brutality of Mr. Putin’s illegal war against the people of Ukraine is demonstrated once again,” said US President Joe Biden’s statement.

Since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, the US has militarily bolstered Ukraine with $16.8 billion worth of equipment, while imposing a raft of sanctions against Moscow.
