The famous singer and actress – but also entrepreneur, activist and philanthropist – Dolly Parton (Dolly Parton) has partnered with the state of California to provide all children under the age of five with a free book each month.

The bill, in partnership with Dolly’s Imagination Library, received bipartisan support and will go into effect next year.

Twitter is “applauding” Parton herself and her initiative, with users mentioning how much they love and admire her for all her actions.

Parton is considered the greatest country singer of all time, has distinguished herself as an actress in award-winning films such as “Magnolias in Bloom”, while in the business field she has managed to build a colossus of profitable enterprises, including Dollywood, a chain of theme parks with millions visitors.

But in parallel with the theme parks, he has founded the “Dollywood Foundation” with an active charity project. In December 2006, Parton donated $500,000 to her hometown hospital in honor of Dr. Robert F. Thomas, who cared for her mother before she died. She also organized a charity concert attended by 8,000 people to raise funds for the hospital. In the same year, she released a cookbook entitled “Dolly’s Dixie Fixin’s”. All proceeds from the book’s sales were donated to her foundation’s charity, the Dollywood Foundation.

Through her foundation, she also created the young children’s education program known as Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides 1 book each month to nearly 850,000 infants to toddlers in the US, Canada, England and Australia. The program funds the shipment of more than 1,000,000 books annually.

He has also worked on raising financial resources to support the American Red Cross and AIDS/HIV related charities, HIV positive associations, etc.

So it’s completely understandable why Dolly Parton is America’s most beloved contemporary artist (and beyond).
