The Kremlin spokesman denied there was a “new wave” of conscription in Russia

The comments made yesterday, Tuesday, by the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg could be seen as confirmation of the fact that the Atlantic Alliance is fighting on the Ukrainian side in Ukraine’s conflict with Russia, the Kremlin announced today.

Yesterday, Stoltenberg said a Russian victory in Ukraine would be “a defeat for all of us”.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also added that Western leaders’ rhetoric about the possible use of nuclear weapons is damaging and provocative.

“We express our regret as every day that Western heads of state engage in nuclear rhetoric every day,” Peskov noted, adding that the practice is “provocative.”

The Kremlin spokesman also pointed out that no attempt has been made by either side to discuss a possible meeting with US President Joe Biden.

At the same time, Peskov noted today that he hopes that the Group of Seven (G7) will make “the Kiev regime” accountable for the crimes he has committed.

The G7 countries stressed that Vladimir Putin is responsible for the shelling of Ukraine, and pledged yesterday to continue providing financial, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal support to Ukraine, adding in a statement issued after their talks that any use of nuclear arms from Russia will have serious consequences.

Peskov denied there was a “new wave” of conscription in Russia, following reports by some regional officials that they were increasing conscription efforts, and told reporters to ask regional governors individually about their plans.
