The order also asks the court to stop the Trump Foundation from transferring or disposing of any material assets without court approval
New York’s attorney general has asked a state court for an injunction against the Trump Foundation to stop its fraudulent activities. Letitia James.
At the same time, her lawsuit against the company is moving forward, which will have consequences for former President Donald Trump and his business, before the final decision on the case is issued.
The attorney general asked the court to issue an injunction banning the Trump Foundation submit statements of financial position or other asset disclosures to lenders or insurance companies unless they “adequately disclose” how those assets were valued.
The order also asks the court to stop the Trump Foundation from transferring or disposing of any material assets without court approval and to appoint an independent monitor to oversee the company’s operations.
Letitia James sued the Trump Foundation and Trump himself, his children and business associates in September after a years-long investigation, accusing the former president and his company of “repeated and persistent” fraudulent activity aimed at favorable business deals.
