Road races today in municipalities of Attica – Traffic regulations in force

Traffic regulations will come into effect today, in several municipalities in Attica, due to road races.

Specifically, the regulations concern the Municipalities of Filothei – Psychiko, Chalandrio, Elefsina, Megareo and Oropou. Traffic regulations will also apply to roads in the southern suburbs as well as in Western Attica.

For the Municipality of Chalandrio

Traffic regulations will be implemented today (23/10) in Chalandri due to the holding of a road race under the name “9th Rematias Road Race”.
In particular, from 07.00 to 12.00 there will be temporary, partial and gradual traffic regulations on the following roads:

Vasileos Georgiou II (direction to Kolokotroni) – right Kolokotroni – left Andreas Gkini – left K. Varnalis – right Prof. Ilias – Rematia Theater – Rododafni – diagonally right Kortsas – end of Kortsas right through a dirt path Parnithos – right Kifisos – Evripou – right L. Pentelis – right Gravia – Herodos Attikou – right Dafnidos – left Dasous – Herodos Attikou – Douro Square – left A. Papandreou to the right of Vasileos Georgiou II.

For the southern suburbs

Traffic arrangements will be made today (23/10) in the streets of the southern suburbs of Athens, due to the sports event called “3rd Hellenic Triathlon-IRONMAN 70.3 VOULIAGMENI GREECE”.

In particular, during the period from 07:45 to 17:45, the following traffic regulations will be implemented:

Temporary, gradual and complete stoppage of vehicular traffic (excluding event support vehicles and emergency vehicles) in both traffic streams, along Posidonos Avenue from the height of Panos Street, Vouliagmeni area, continuing along the Avenue Athens-Souniou at the height of its junction with V. Konstantinou Street, Varkiza district, continuation along Athens-Souniou Coastal Avenue up to the height of its junction with Karamanli Street, Anavyssos district.

Determination of Exclusive Vehicle Traffic Lanes for the movement – serving permanent residents, businesses and Services, as well as for the movement of emergency vehicles as follows:

– Right traffic lane of Posidonos Street, in its section from its junction with Themidos Street to its junction with Kyvelis Street, Varkiza area.

– Right traffic lane of Athens-Souniou Road, in its section from its junction with Barakou Street (“Ribas”) to its junction with L. V. Konstantinou, Koropi district.

– Right traffic lane of Athens-Sounio Road, in its section from its junction with Kekropos Street to its junction with Agia Marina St., Agia Marina area of ​​Koropi.

– Right traffic lane of Athens-Souni Beach Road (reverse), in its section from its junction with Grana Street / “AKTEA” to its junction with Agios Dimitriou Street, Koropi district.

– Right traffic lane of Athens-Souni Beach Road, in its section from the height of the “KALAMIA/Agios Nikolaos” health care store to its junction with Galazias Aktis Street, Lagonisiou area.

– The right traffic lane of the Athens-Souni Coastal Road, in its section from the height of the “GRAND RESORT LAGONISSI” hotel (m/th 41,000) to its junction with Kalyvion Road, Lagonisi area.

– The right traffic lane of the Athens-Souni Coastal Road, in its section from the height of its junction with Sifnou Street (“LAVO”) to its junction with Galanaion Street, Saronidas area.

– Right traffic lane of Paraliaki Le. Athens-Souniou, in its section from the height of its junction with Minoos Street to its junction with Saronidas Street, Saronidas area.

Traffic diversions and movement of other vehicles, through the following alternative routes as follows:

– Athina St. and Evelpidon St. (Voula wells), heading towards Sounio, left Evelpidon St., except for permanent residents of the Vouliagmeni area (until 17:00).

– Posidonos St. and Panos St., Vouliagmenis area, traffic flow towards Sounio, continue left onto Panos St., towards the Vouliagmenis Cemetery (until 5:00 PM).

– Panos St. and Iasonos Street, Vouliagmeni area, traffic flow towards Poseidonos St., continue right onto Iasonos Street (until 17:00).

– L. Anargyrountos and Pl. Iroon, Varis area, heading towards Athens International Airport, straight towards Evelpidon Street (until 17:00).

– St. Agia Marina and Agios Ioannou, Koropi area, towards Athens-Souniou St., left Agios Ioannou street.

– St. Agia Marina and Lumbardas, Koropi area, towards Athens-Souniu St., right on Lumbardas street, then right on Themistokleous street.

– Coastal road of Athens – Souniou and Karamanli road, flow towards Athens, right on Karamanli road, continue to Anavyssos road, right on Kalyvion road, continue to Thorikou road, left on Lavrio road towards Athens.

– Kalyvion Avenue and 1st and 2nd Circular Junctions, flow towards Athens – Souniou Coastal Avenue, left to Anavyssos Ave., continue right to Karamanli Avenue, left Athens – Souniou Coastal Avenue.

For the municipalities of Filothei – Psychiko, Elefsina, Megareo and Oropou

Traffic regulations will be implemented today (23/10) in 4 municipalities of Attica due to road races. Specifically in the Municipalities of Filothei – Psychiko, Elefsina, Megarea and the Municipality of Oropos.
In the Municipality of Filothei – Psychiko, due to the running of the road race under the name “Kyriakidia 2022” from 09.00 to 13.00, temporary, segmental and gradual traffic regulations will be implemented along the route, as follows:

Start Municipal Stadium “S. KYRIAKIDIS” Kehagias street, right Evanardo, right Pl. Drosopoulou, right Grammou-Vitsi street, left Maleme, right Karaoli- Dimitriou, right Louki Akrita, right Euripidou, left Papaflessa, right Sarantaporou, right El. Stratou, right Cyprus, left Vergina, left Kalliga, finish Municipal Stadium “S. KYRIAKIDIS”.

In the Municipalities of Elefsina and Megara due to the running of the road race with the name: “20th Half Marathon Road ¨In the Tracks of Pausanias¨” from 08.30 – 11.30, there will be a gradual and complete stoppage of vehicle traffic on the streets below as follows :

– Heroes of the Polytechnic, in its section from building number 108 (PPC Elefsina) to P.E.O. Athens – Corinth (Elefsina Block – building number 168) in both (2) traffic streams.
-P.E.O. Athens – Corinth, in its section from Bloko Elefsina (building number 168) to street 42,000 and in both (2) traffic streams.

During the period of application of the above traffic regulation, the traffic of vehicles will be conducted by N.E.O. Athens – Corinth and from adjacent roads.

In the Municipality of Oropos, due to the running of the road race under the name “Oropos Seaside Race” from 07.00 to 13.00, temporary, segmental and gradual traffic regulations will be implemented along the route as follows:

Coastal Avenue of Agioi Apostolos – Skalas Oropou from the height of 25th Martiou Street and G. Drosini to the Municipal Parking of Agioi Apostoloi.

For Western Attica

Traffic regulations will be implemented today (23/10) on the roads of Western Attica due to the “2nd Half Marathon WEST RUN”, organized by the Municipality of Agios Anargyro – Kamaterou.

Traffic regulations in detail:

A. Temporary and complete stoppage of vehicle traffic and prohibition of stopping and parking, during the hours 07.30 – 12.30:

-L. Democracy, in the section between Kosti Palamas Street and the Underground (Exit L. Katsoni) and in both traffic streams.

-Iroon Polytechniou, in the section between Dimokratia Avenue and Cyprus Street, in the right lane of the roadway, in the traffic flow towards Fyli.

-Iroon Polytechniou, in the section between Cyprus Street and Fyli Street, in the traffic flow towards Fyli.

-L. Fylis, in the section between Iroon Polytechneiou and Thessaloniki streets, in the traffic flow towards Fylis.

-Spyrou Theologu (Theotokos), in the section between Fyli Street to Dimitriou Gounari Street and in both traffic streams.

– On the road in question, the traffic regulation of the prohibition of stopping and parking of vehicles will not be carried out.

-L. Katsoni, in the section between Avlonos and Ypsilantou streets and in both traffic streams.

-L. Konstantinoupoleos, in the section between Tripoleos and Ag. Anargyron.

-Tripolios, in the section between Dimokratia Avenue and Konstantinoupoleos Street.

– Ypsilanto, in the section between L. Katsoni and Pindos streets and in both traffic streams.

– On the road in question, the traffic regulation of the prohibition of stopping and parking of vehicles will not be carried out.

-St. Anargyron, in the section between Petala & Dervenakion Streets and Dimokratia Avenue in both traffic streams.

– Evia, in the section between L. Katsoni Street and L. Demokratia Street in both traffic streams.

B. Prohibition of vertical crossing of vehicles from the Half Marathon route, except for the following controlled vertical crossing junctions:

-St. Anargyron – N. Plastira.

-St. Anargyron – Sof. Venizelou.

-St. Anargyron – Kefallinia.

-St. Anargyron – Eptanisou & P. ​​Tsaldari.

-St. Anargyron – Constantinople.

-L. Katsoni – Vryoulon & Nicosia.

– Evia – Kalamon.
