The king of the United Kingdom is a big fan of Transylvania, the birthplace of Count Dracula, and for this reason he bought a house in the Romanian region, which he has turned into a guest house, according to Reuters. The guesthouse officially known as Zalán Guesthouseis available for overnight stays, with proceeds to available to his charity in Romania.

King Charles hopes that his guesthouse will encourage more travelers to visit Transylvania and, in doing so, promote sustainable development, says the lodge’s website.

Some of the most beautiful and biodiverse wildflower meadows are in the immediate vicinity of the guesthouse. The landscape is ideal for painting and photography, the website states.

Part of the property has also been converted into a training center to help local villagers, who are trained in traditional crafts and farming skills.

Guests can make a reservation all-inclusive package, which includes a welcome drink and dinner on arrival, guided tours, transport and breakfast on departure for €157 to €167 per person per night.
