The agreement, concluded in July for 120 days, is to expire in the second fortnight of November.
THE Moscow threatened on Thursday that it was considering not extending the grain deal citing non-compliance.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova claimed Thursday that provisions of the Black Sea Grains Agreement, which facilitates Russian exports of agricultural products and fertilizers, are not being followed, and that “she has not yet made a decision on whether the agreement should to be extended”.
Zakharova argued to reporters that the West has not taken “adequate steps to ease sanctions on Russia’s logistics, payments and insurance industries to facilitate Russian exports.”
The agreement, concluded in July for 120 days, is about to expire in the second fortnight of November.
“Russia calls on the West to influence Ukraine to abandon its plans for the possible use of a “dirty bomb” and nuclear blackmail,” said the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.
