According Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ikhnat, Ukraine has so far shot down more than 300 Iranian Shahed-136 drones.

Drones have become a key weapon in Russia’s arsenal during the war in Ukraine and are often used to target vital energy infrastructure. However, Iran has denied accusations by Ukraine and the West that it supplies drones to Russia.

Russia had targeted dozens of missiles and unmanned drones at Ukraine’s power grid, causing widespread blackouts. Ukrainian forces have shot down 23 drones in the past two days alone.

Alongside, the Russian president, Volodymyr Zelensky in a new message today and standing next to the wreckage of an Iranian drone shot down by Ukrainian forces, he accused Russia of launching more than 8,000 airstrikes and firing 4,500 missiles throughout the war in Ukraine. He promised, however, that Putin’s attacks on power plants would not break Ukrainian spirits.

“Bombardment will not break us – hearing the enemy’s anthem on our land is more terrifying than the enemy’s missiles in our sky. We are not afraid of the dark,” Zelensky said.
