Ukraine to Iran: Stop sending weapons to Russia, says Ukrainian Foreign Minister

by

“I asked Iran to immediately stop the flow of weapons to Russia that are used to kill civilians and destroy vital infrastructure in Ukraine,” Kouleba said.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said he received a phone call today from his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdolakhian and asked Tehran to stop sending weapons to Russia.

Ukraine and its Western allies accuse Iran of sending “kamikaze” drones to Russia, which Russian forces then use in attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. Iran denies the charge.

“I asked Iran to immediately stop the flow of weapons to Russia that are used to kill civilians and destroy vital infrastructure in Ukraine,” Kouleba said in a tweet.
