“You can call me Georgia” Meloni says after… “Mr. Prime Minister”

In the instructions given to the various ministries by the general secretary of the Italian presidency of the government, they were asked to refer to Meloni as “the main Italian prime minister”, or “the Italian prime minister”.

The new Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, referred via Facebook to the instructions given by the general secretary of the Italian presidency, Carlo Neotato. With these hints, Deodato asked the various ministries to refer to Meloni as “the main Italian prime minister”, or “the Italian prime minister”.

After the surprise that was caused, and a lot of media comments, the new head of the Italian government wrote online:

“I read that the main topic of discussion, today, is about internal bureaucratic circulars, possibly incorrect, concerning the big issue of what the first female prime minister should be called. Continue. I deal with household accounts, taxes, work, certainty that the sentences will be served and with the budget. As far as I’m concerned, you can call me whatever you want, and Georgia.’
