Democrats are expressing fear of an outbreak of political violence in America after the attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband in California last Friday.

The warnings come amid long-standing concerns that the security services provided are inadequate to the ongoing threats MPs face, especially as by-elections approach, according to the Guardian website.

“Somebody’s going to die,” Debbie Dingell, a Democratic congresswoman from Michigan, told the news website Axios. As Dingell noted in 2020 after Fox News’ Tucker Carlson aired a quote about her, “I had men outside the house me with assault weapons that night.”

Mike Quigley, a Democratic congressman from Illinois, told Axios that the brutal attack “confirms what members know: we are completely vulnerable at a time when the risks are increasing.” Quigley also said, “We need more ways to protect our members and families.”

It is recalled that the attacker who attacked Paul Pelosi broke into the house shouting “where’s Nancy” with the real target apparently being the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
