Russia, which announced on Friday that it was “suspending” its participation in the agreement, warned yesterday of the existence of a “danger” from continued navigation along the corridor without its consent.

Three more trucks ships loaded with grain left this morning from Ukrainian ports and are heading for the humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea, the Joint Coordination Center located in Istanbul announced this afternoon.

“The movements of these three ships were approved by the delegations of Ukraine, Turkey and the UN. The Russian delegation has been informed,” said the Joint Coordination Center, which oversees in Istanbul Ukrainian grain exports under the international agreement signed in July.

Russia, which announced on Friday that it was “suspending” its participation in the agreement, warned on Monday of the existence of a “danger” from the continuation of navigation along this corridor without its consent.

Moscow, which reported a drone strike in Crimeaa, demands from “Ukraine to guarantee security” in the maritime corridor.

Turkey and the UN are trying to remove Russian objections.

“The UN coordinator for the Black Sea Grains Initiative Amir Abdullah continues talks with the states that are part of the agreement in order to resume their full participation in the Joint Coordination Center,” the center noted.

The Russian delegation announced on Saturday that it would no longer participate in ship inspections.

The Joint Coordination Center clarified that, despite the withdrawal of Russian inspectors, 46 ships were able to be inspected yesterday and can receive permission to use the corridor in the Black Sea in both directions.

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu spoke with their Russian counterparts to emphasize the importance of this corridor in the Black Sea for the transportation of grain.

The international agreement, which expires on November 19, was aimed at allowing Ukrainian exports to resume to prevent a serious food crisis, mainly in Africa.
