A year ago the actress was diagnosed with the degenerative disease multiple sclerosis and now she has spoken for the first time about how much her life and daily routine has changed and how she manages her illness.

Christina first learned what she was suffering from while filming the third and final season of Netflix’s dark comedy ‘Dead to Me’.

He was forced to stop filming for 5 months – to start treatment – ​​and when he returned to the sets the disease was already quite advanced – so much so that he needed a wheelchair to get around.

Now, as the series premieres on November 17, the actress spoke to The New York Times.

“It’s the first time people will see me as I am. I’ve put on almost 20kg, I can’t walk without a cane. I want people to know that I know all this very well,” he said.

In fact, she made a post on Twitter, on the occasion of Halloween, where for the first time she shows her real self today, while her friends hug her.

“I’m sure people will think ‘I can’t get used to (her image), I can’t watch the series}. Fine, don’t watch it then. But I hope people can get over my new look image and just to say goodbye to these two girls on the show,” he said.
