Questioning whether fake news is controlled and detected on the “new” Twitter – now owned by Elon Musk – is raised after the American comedian Tim Heidecker’s move to create and use the hashtag #TrumpIsDead yesterday.

Following a short series of tweets, referring to former President Donald Trump, he wrote:

“Trump is dead (died badly)”. In fact, he pointed out Elon Musk in the post, claiming that he “concealed this news (or did he not?)”.

“Many are sad,” Heidecker further wrote. “I heard he died in a sad and sick way,” he added.

It should be noted that this particular comedian is verified on Twitter, with the characteristic blue “tick” next to his name.

Immediately, his tweets gathered more than 20,000 likes, as well as thousands of retweets.

However, Elon Musk has not responded or commented on the posts.
